Dublin Summer Blossoms Giant Flowers for the Bees.
Dublin city centre was in full bloom for the opening weekend of Summer in Dublin 2026, and Giant Flowers Ireland was proud to be part of it.
On 4 and 5 July, Parliament Street hosted Blossoms & Bees, a free family event celebrating flowers, bees and the important role pollinators play in our environment. The weekend formed part of Dublin City Council’s wider Summer in Dublin programme, which brought colour, creativity and family-friendly activities into the heart of the capital throughout July and August.
A larger-than-life floral display on Parliament Street

To help bring the Blossoms & Bees theme to life, Giant Flowers Ireland supplied and installed a collection of oversized daisies and sunflowers on Parliament Street.
The flowers were arranged around a giant blue-and-white deckchair, creating a bright summer scene that stood out against the surrounding city streets. The scale of the display made it easy to see from a distance, while the vivid yellow sunflowers and crisp white daisies added an immediate sense of colour and fun to the event space.
This is exactly what large-scale floral décor can do in a busy public setting: define an event area, attract attention and turn an ordinary streetscape into a memorable visual experience.
Celebrating nature in the heart of Dublin

Blossoms & Bees invited families to learn more about bees, planting and local wildlife through talks from bee experts, plant-and-grow activities, face painting and interactive games.
The event was promoted through Dublin City Council’s official channels and Dublin.ie, and was also selected by RTÉ Lifestyle as one of the things to do in Dublin that weekend.
Our giant flowers complemented that message in a simple, visual way. By taking familiar flowers and recreating them at an unexpected scale, the installation was designed to encourage people to stop, look and engage with the space around them.
Designed to make public spaces stand out
For festivals, city-centre activations and community events, décor has to work harder than it would inside a private venue. It needs to be visible, durable and effective from several angles while fitting naturally into the event theme.
The Blossoms & Bees display showed how oversized flowers can create impact without blocking or overpowering a public space. They framed the central deckchair, added height and movement to the setting, and helped make the event instantly recognisable as a celebration of summer and nature.

It was a pleasure for Giant Flowers Ireland to contribute to a Dublin City Council programme designed to bring people together and make the city centre feel more colourful, welcoming and alive.
